Our Owner’s Biography
Dave Neish is the president of QUANTUM Power & Consulting Solutions Inc. In addition to being a licensed electrical contractor (LEC) certified by the province of Manitoba, he is also a certified master electrician (CME) and registered electrical contractor in Ontario.
He has more than 30 years of experience in the electrical industry. Two decades of which he spent in electrical and building automation project management, focusing on energy-efficient sustainable green solutions and LEED design buildings.

How We Work
Our team will conduct an electrical distribution analysis in order to determine the viability of power factor correction in a facility. Our analysis is done by collecting a large amount of data using our metering analyzers that are connected to distribution grids.
We work with clients to review their history of utility charges. By reviewing the analytics and previous utility summaries, we can then determine and calculate the feasibility of implementing power factor correction and conditioning.

In order to determine the health of a facility’s power grid, power data loggers are necessary to get an overall picture of a facility’s habits in power usage. We conduct free testing and analysis and use the data we collect along with a study of previous utility charges to determine the size of power factor correction needed for your facility.
The voltage between the phases is then balanced, boosted, levelled, and maintained at all times. Power factor is corrected to 0.95 to 0.98 in most cases. On the other hand, kWh and kW are decreased and significantly lower power bills. Induction loads run cooler and operate more efficiently while harmonics are almost eliminated and no longer pose a problem to a facility.
